Would you like to increase your spiritual awareness?

You can use the natural world as a proving ground to develop your observational skills.

Moving creatures such as birds offer a unique opportunity for us to develop situational awareness. Each time you perceive outdoor movement, you can train your eyes and ears to locate where the motion is coming from and find your target: a bird!

It’s much like the way we train our spiritual eyes to see God moving or train our spiritual ears to hear His still, small voice.

As you learn more and more about each bird, you can marvel at how awesomely and wonderfully God situated each species in their particular environment, just the way He made them. It’s all part of the fabric and magnificence of God’s creation, of which we also are a part. That’s why learning to appreciate it is so energizing and invigorating.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• This event, led by an experienced birder, is open without a fee to all who would like to join us.
• Meet us at the parking lot at the entrance to the park.
• Parking at this public park is limited, so carpooling is recommended.
• (optional) Items to bring: Binoculars and/or a telescope and tripod.
• We will be outdoors the entire time, so dress appropriately for the weather and the season.
