About

At OIKEOS Christian Network our mission is simple —

BIBLICAL EDUCATION FOR A WALK TOGETHER IN NEWNESS OF LIFE

What is biblical education?

Through teaching and learning of God’s Word, one gains spiritual knowledge and scriptural tools to grow in a Christ-centered lifestyle. It is in a Christ-centered lifestyle — resting and relying on God’s grace and the accomplished work of Christ — that believers discover their true God-given identity.

Colossians 1:26-28

What is a walk together in newness of life?

2 (two) #5 (CO OSC)

Our walk is a “do it together” adventure in love and encouragement, support and guidance in sharing the quality of life and our beliefs which we discover in Christ. We are not alone, but are part of a spiritual community in the household of faith and the body of Christ. As a result, we respect each other and contribute our heart and strengths to benefit others. As a network, we support and encourage the autonomy of local, home-based gatherings of individuals who desire to draw from our educational resources such as teachings, courses, ministering visits, and events.

Ephesians 4:1-16

Our aim is quality of life that is fresh and new each day. The past is resolved, and the future holds only anticipated glory. This allows us to live each day, and indeed each moment, engaged with the confidence that comes from God-given expectations in Christ. Living daily in newness of life is an adventure in discovering all of God’s positive expectations that abound through His grace.

Ephesians 3:20

We recognize that we are not the only Christian organization or church ministering today. We are part of an all-encompassing, much larger movement of God in our day and time to reach and help the world know the truth that God reveals through Jesus Christ.

This website is designed to help Christians connect through the light of God’s Word in teaching and learning of the scriptures that encourages a walk of newness of life in Christ. Our expectation in God is that this website will help to advance the precision and heart of the scriptures in your life personally as well as with others in your local area. May God’s blessings continue to abound in your life.

Numbers 6:24-26:

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

What We Believe:

  • 1.

One God, of the Old and New Testament, Who is the Holy Spirit, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 2.

Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God who offered his sinless life for the salvation of mankind and is the only sacrifice necessary and acceptable to God for man to receive His grace for eternal life and walk in newness of life in our day.

  • 3.

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as originally given by God are complete—illuminating and complementing each other, inerrant—containing no contradictions or errors, and timeless—applicable and relevant in our day, as a package of revelation for man’s salvation, safety, and benefit.

  • 4.

If man confesses Jesus as lord and believes that God raised him from the dead he receives the gift of holy spirit which is the incorruptible seed of Christ and is now born again as a son of God, called Christian, having eternal life salvation and the ability to exercise spiritual power and produce spiritual fruit. The new birth begins the potential of a new life in Christ but is ultimately the responsibility of each believer to prove to his or her own satisfaction the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God and live according to the Word of God.

  • 5.

Justification through the faith of Jesus Christ is common to all Christians and is the legal decision by God to release man of guilt and sin and make man acceptable to Him. This truth is the basis upon which one’s past and the negative judgments of our day are left behind and an understanding of the household of faith and mutual respect for all Christian believers as brothers and sisters in the family of God is built.

  • 6.

Each believer is seated at the right hand of God with Christ and therefore sanctified — set apart for God’s purpose from this world, to live the love of Christ and grow in the unifying power of the gift of holy spirit by functioning as an interdependent and necessary member of the body of Christ.

  • 7.

The anticipation of the soon-glorification of believers at Christ’s return — the gathering of the Church of the body of Christ when new bodies and eternal rewards will be given, is the incentive in our day to free oneself from the limited view of earthly existence and the burdens and cares that accompany it, to live each day with hope, joy, and comfort of the eternal and glorious future that awaits the sons of God.

  • 8.

The early Christians as recorded in the Book of Acts and later in the Church Epistles of the Apostle Paul and other New Testament writers set the pattern of organizing to network, teach, and share their beliefs regarding Jesus Christ.

  • 9.

The Devil, Satan, is the spiritual accuser and adversary of man who, along with the other fallen angels, make up the devil spirit forces of evil who are actively and permanently opposed to God, Christ, and the Word, but will one day receive final judgment and destruction.

OIKEOS Defined

The name OIKEOS is taken from the Greek word for household, οἰκεῖος [oikeios, pronounced oy-kay-os].

Galatians 6:10:

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household [oikeios] of faith.

The household of faith noted in Galatians 6:10 refers to the faith of Jesus Christ common to all Christians. Believers share this same faith as brothers and sisters in the family of God, hence the household of faith. It is this common faith shared by all Christians which is the measure of faith given to each believer by grace mentioned in Romans 12.

Romans 12:3:

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

The Logo

The gold thread in the logo represents the truth regarding the justification of each believer through the faith of Jesus Christ, the collective unity of the Body of Christ seated in the heavenlies, and the believers’ soon glorification at the return of Christ taught by the Apostle Paul and others unto this day. The three leaves represent completeness and the process of each individual believer rising and thriving to stand upright on the Word. The Christian network refers to the organized support of God's Word moving at the local church level.

OIKEOS ("Household") Christian Network is a fellowship of believers who freely share in the grace of God and identity in Christ to walk in newness of life. Each believer grows in the unifying power of the gift of holy spirit by proving to his satisfaction the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. Mutual respect based on the common faith of Jesus Christ all believers share as brothers and sisters in the family of God encourages each believer to learn, mature, and function in the Body of Christ according to the Word of God.

This website is a tool dedicated to Biblical education for a walk together in newness of life.

Romans 6:4:

Therefore we are [were] buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
